Weekly Work: June 8 - 12

LANGUAGE

Reading and Writing Assignment #10: Social Isolation Rap



Objective:
-       Analyze the lyrics from the Fresh Prince theme song
-       Identify and understand syllables and rhyming words
-       Re-write the song so that it is about YOU! 


This week you are going to take one of my favorite songs and rewrite the lyrics and rap about your experience during social isolation.  You are welcome to do one verse or the entire song.  Here is an example of the original.



It is important when you complete an activity like this (similar to when we did the Toys R Us jingle) that you have the same number of syllables in each line as the original.  To make it sound even better you should try and rhyme the same lines that Will Smith does.

FRESH PRINCE BIOGRAPHY RAP

Go through the lyrics of the song and highlight the words the rhyme with each other.  In the brackets (   ), put the number of syllables that line has.

Art Assignment #10: Sunglasses Art



I think the sun is finally here to stay.  With the nice weather out, everyone could use a new pair of cool sunglasses.  Watch the video to create your pair.  When you are done, add some colour or designs to make them unique.  Then take a picture of you wearing them while enjoying the sun!
